Idlewild Media has produced video content for companies such as Google.
Google and CodePlus teamed up to host this MindTheGap event for female students: a series of fun and empowering lectures and talks and Q&As from women who have achieved success in STEM, to inspire the next generation of young women to strive toward greatness in the field themselves. This collection of videos was designed to showcase the vibrant and exciting and inspiring atmosphere of the event, for both external and internal promotion, to motivate and encourage and inform young women watching on social media, and to spark interest and get the right people behind the programme for future investment opportunities within the company.
In 2024, Idlewild Media produced the video campaigns for 15+ major political candidates in constituencies in Dublin, Sligo, Cork, Limerick, Waterford, and more, all across Ireland: in the MEP, Local, and General Elections. These video campaigns for social media let the candidate pitch their concerns and solutions, on housing, on the environment, on local issues, and more, in a compelling and resonate way that also showcased their personalities and their relationship with their local constituencies. Among these videos was a televised advertisement for the party generally which broadcast on RTE1 just prior to the election itself.
This included the 20+ video campaign for Aodhán Ó Ríordáin’s successful run for Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Dublin. These videos were designed to convey the candidate’s views, concerns, solutions, and overall vision in an informative and engaging and resonate way, with videos on a vast array of vital political concerns, ranging from the housing crisis, to the environment, to Gaza, to workers rights, and more, addressed in the form of direct-address content and also interviews and testimonials between O Riordain and experts in the relevant field. This series of videos was promoted on social media with political marketing agency Electica describing it as showing “unprecedented levels of engagement” and with RTE and The Irish Times both praising the videos as a crucial component in Aodhan O Riordain’s successful campaign.
Politics & Society
Forsa is the biggest Irish trade union for the public service and the second largest in the country: this video spotlights the Aer Lingus Pilot Protest of 2024, visually capturing the scope and scale of the event itself while also lending voice to the pilots and the union backing them. This footage was used internally for Forsa itself and it was broadcast on Virgin Media News.
SIPTU is Ireland’s largest trade union. Idlewild Media has produced a series of long-form videos for the union, including full length talks, whether that’s historical lectures or readings and speeches at a book launch, with the aim of educating and raising awareness about the given subject of the lecture for online and internal promotion.

These enthusiastic on-the-street testimonials with festival-goers were used by the Arts Council to endorse, promote, and advertise the fun and excitement and vibrancy of Culture Night.

Idlewild Media has produced funny, weird, bizarre, eye-catching commercials for outlets such as The Goo Magazine, one of Ireland’s most popular music publications.

Wedding videography at competitive rates: you'll receive a longer (aprox 10 mins) mini-movie that captures the day in all its beauty and a shorter montage (aprox 1 min) for easy social media sharing. These videos don’t only seek to capture the visual splendour of the most special day of your life so that you can remember it forever, they capture how the day felt so you and your loved ones can relive it over and over again.
Weddings
We produced a long-running series of social media video content for Altipeak—Ireland’s Only Altitude Training Facility—which showcased its unique facilities as a gym, its variety of special training programmes, the personalities of the lead trainers and customer testimonials, creating engaging and informative advertisements for the business and promoting its brand identity.
Health & Fitness
These live music videos capture the sound and look and energy of the band—this Clay Pigeon Shooting video filmed at Yellow Door in Dublin featured on the Hot Press website.
